You were filled with challenges, joys and sadness.

I’ve been waiting a long time for you.
It’s taken me every single day of my life,
Every single experience of my days
Every breath and every step to reach you.
You are the year of beautiful laughter,
the year of making new friends,
the year of fun and joy and love and magic,
the year I will have to turn business away because of abundance (I hope ;-))
the year I see with new eyes the people and the world around me,
the year of deep breaths and long moments of pure observation…
Presence
and wonder.
You are the year I have been building my whole life to experience.
I admit, I expected you sooner.
About 15 years sooner to be precise.
Perhaps I had things I needed to learn.
Perhaps I wasn’t ready for you before now.

I am now.

I am ready.
My face is raised to the sky
I can feel the warmth of the light upon my skin.
My arms are outstretched and open…
